25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection on this date. Upon arrival at 1:50PM. LPA met with Facility representative Lavinte White and informed of the purpose of inspection. A tour of the facility was provided. There were 7 children present including 1 infant, observed to be napping. Also present was Adult #1, who resides in the home. Licensee, Libertie Majied arrived at 2:05pm, LPA provided provided form LIC 126, Inspection Entrance Checklist. All adults present have obtained the required background clearance and are associated to the facility. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted. Per licensee, the current hours of care provided are Monday – Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm. LPA inspected rooms/areas on the facility sketch in which child-care services are provided and to which children have access.
This is facility is a single story home consists of 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, den, laundry room, and attached garage and enclosed backyard.
Areas accessible to children include: Daycare Room (Den), living room (used for napping and illness), 1/2 bathroom by the daycare room and backyard.
Off limit areas: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, garage, laundry room (next to kitchen)
At 1:50pm LPA observe infant napping in play yard, blanket was hanging on the side of play yard, toys were located inside play yard while infant napped, this poses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care. While touring the backyard, LPA observed that the wooden and plastic slide was not sturdy and can easy be pushes side to side, posing a potential risk to the safety of children in care.
