25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Warren Birks conducted an unannounced case management inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Licensee Noe Guerro and who assisted LPA with a tour of the facility. T. Martinez assisted with Spanish and English translation. The purpose of this inspection is due to licensee’s request for a capacity increase. LPA observed two preschool children in care at time of arrival. All residents of the home were notated.
Facility is currently licensed for a small family child care (six to eight children) and licensee would like to increase capacity to a large family child care (12-14 children), 0 months to 12 years old.
Hours of operation will remain the same, Monday-Sunday 6:00 AM - 3:00AM.
This is a one-story home consisting of two bedrooms, two and 1/2 bathrooms, living room, dining area, front and back kitchens, family room, den, office, front yard and back yard fenced. Primary care takes place in the family room, den, two bathrooms, living room and backyard. Areas off limits to children and parents include, All bedrooms, storage room, office, back kitchen (inaccessible by child gate) and one bathroom.
All required posted documentation was observed in the main entarnce of the home available to parents. Fire extinguisher was is due for service May 3, 2024, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable.
All areas used by children were observed to have age appropriate toys and material for children to play with. Detergents and cleaning compounds are stored in the off limits kitchen with child locks on the cabinets. Facility has central air and heat for ventilation. Per Licensee there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home. Parents sign children in and out daily and facility follows a daily schedule. The children's bathroom is located in the hallway and near the living room. Cleaning supplies are stored in a locked cabinet under the sink. Bathroom was observed to be safe and sanitary. |
