25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Randy Derraco conducted an unannounced case management visit to the above mentioned address on 02/23/24 at 9:00 AM. LPA met with co-licensee Elizabeth Cruz, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. LPA observed 2 additional adults and 8 children present during inspection. Per licensee, no child that is in attendance is 6 years of age. Licensee also states that no child present is enrolled in or attending kindergarten at an elementary school. LPA advised licensee that citation under Health and Saftey Code (HSC) section 1597.44(a) will be issued. Individuals residing in the home have been noted and discussed. The licensee is requesting a capacity increase to their family childcare home license. Per licensee, operation hours will be 7 days a week from 5:00 AM to 4:00 AM. Applicant states that they will care for children 3 months to 6 years old.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a one story home that consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry area, detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include 3 bedrooms, kitchen, laundry area, detached garage and front yard.
Main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed a wall mounted television, age appropriate toys, a couch, a computer desk, a Graco Pack n Play playpen, and a baby changing station. The dining area was observed with child sized tables, child sized chairs and a dining table with chairs. Required postings were observed on the wall next to the entrance to the home. Child gates were observed to be mounted onto the cabinet to make the kitchen inaccessible to the children. A tension gate was also observed at the entrance of the hallway making the hallway leading to the bedrooms inaccessible to children. Both bathrooms were observed to be sanitary with an operable sink, faucet and toilet. Outdoor play area is located in the back yard. LPA observed that the yard to have perimeter fencing, shaded areas, and outdoor play equipment for children.
Areas that will be used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness. LPA observed operable
