32 | Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children, will be inaccessible to children.
There is no kitchen at the facility. All meals and snacks are delivered from the nearby elementary school cafeteria. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids.
Outdoor playground equipment is in a safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. LPAs advised FRs that the children need to be within the direct care and supervision, including visual supervision of the teacher(s) at all times. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Outdoor space is shared with Elementary school. Applicant has applied for an Outdoor Space waiver for staggered playtime. Availability of outdoor drinking water was observed, LPAs observed drinking fountains available for children.
There are no bodies of water on the premises.
FR state that medication may be stored in the classroom in a medicine case or stored in the Nurse's Office depending on medication requirement. First aid kits are available and were observed to contain the required first-aid supplies.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS): This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS.
