25 | On Tammy Eley on March 03, 2023 at 10:10 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Susann Sanchez conducted an announced inspection at the facility noted above and met with Licensee, Tammy Eley. The purpose of the inspection was to conduct the pre-licensing inspection for a Change of Location. The Licensee is requesting to operate a Large Family Day Care Home. Fire clearance was granted on 02/22/23 The operating hours would be Monday through Sunday from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. The Licensee is applying to care for children ages: infant to 12 years old. Pre-licensing Entrance Checklist (LIC 9280) was provided to the Licensee upon arrival. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted.
This is a one story home. The home consists of 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, office, backyard, and front yard. Areas that are accessible to children include: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, office, backyard, and front yard . Areas off limits to children and parents include: master bedroom and kitchen. The office will only do used for isolation area. Children will only use the kitchen as a walkway to go the bathroom. The front yard is a shared space with the other home and a different address.
Areas used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, heating, cleanliness and telephone service. The home has portable air conditioner. A portable heater will be used if needed. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are made inaccessible and are kept in high cabinets. Licensee was advised that if any poisons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock.
Per Licensee, there are no pets, firearms, weapons or bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed age appropriate toys and napping equipment for children. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. A First Aid kit and emergency supplies are available if needed. . |
