32 | Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Children napping equipment met the requirement regulation at time of inspection. Storage for children's belongings, bathrooms facilities, and isolation areas were inspected. Age-appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, safety, and sanitation. LPA observed cubbies with wooden toys, puzzles, books, and other appropriate toys to be clean and free of hazards at time of inspection. LPA observed carpets and age-appropriate tables and chairs in each classroom. LPA observed First aid Boxes kept in classroom. First Aid supplies were inventoried and were found to be in compliance with regulation.
Facility provides breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, p.m. snack, and extended snacks. Menus were reviewed at time of inspection. All food items are prepared at the facility. Food and snack items are properly stored. Food preparation area was toured and found in compliance for safety, cleanliness, and proper storage. Drinking water is provided via jugs. Per PIN 21-21-CCP lead testing to be conducted for all equipment used for drinking consumption. Per record review, LPAs observed a negative lead test result report dated 9/2023. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are present in the facility. LPA's tested/confirmed detectors at time of inspection and were determined to be in operable condition. Fire extinguishers were observed as serviced on 02/18/2026. Last fire drill was conducted on 05/2026.
LPA observed outdoor play area which consists of age-appropriate two story play structure. Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair, and age-appropriateness. LPAs observed swings, sensory tables, two play structure with a plastic slide, and other age-appropriate toys around the play yard. Required shade and fencing were inspected. Per Director, the children have access to drinking water via bottled water. LPA observed bottle water and paper cups. Per Director, water is taken outside for children to have accessible for outdoor play. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water; no bodies of water or hazards observed at time of inspection.
LPAs observed 4 children’s files and observed them to be complete.
At 2:15 p.m. LPAs observed 5 staff files and observed the two lead teachers to have expired CPR/ First Aid Certifications. LPAs did observed a current CPR and First Aid Certification for Director, however upon arrival at 1:15PM Director was out of the facility on lunch. A type B Deficiency was issued for expired CPR and First Aid card. Page 2 out of 4 |
