Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on October 11, 2024. LPA arrived at the facility at 11:30am, identified self and met with Julio De Paz, Licensee, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA provided Licensee with a copy of the LIC 126 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. LPA observed that also present during this inspection, was Lesby De Paz, Licensee’s Assistant. LPA observed 4 children upon arrival. Per Licensee, operation hours are 7am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. There are 6 children that are currently enrolled. A current LIC9040 children’s roster was not available for review. This is a one -story home that consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen/dining room, fenced front yard (used for the children), Fenced backyard (off-limits), detached garage. The home is located in the rear behind two apartments that are located in the front by the street. LPA observed to enter the home, if you are facing the home, you enter through the left side on the driveway area. LPA observed two entrances to the home, one through the gated play area and past the gated area there is an entrance door on side of home. Infants will use bedroom #1 for napping. The children will use the living room for napping, meals, and activities. LPA observed the gated area in the front of home. LPA observed children’s toys and activities in the gated area. LPA observed a hot tub spa located in the front patio play area. The hot tub has been approved by licensing and follows title 22 regulations. The children use the bathroom in the living room area near bedroom #2. Licensee installed air conditioner/heater. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include Bedroom #2, backyard area, and detached garage. The licensee provides food for children in care. Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. Per Licensee, they currently have one assistant. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home. All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via cellphone and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating, licensee install air conditioning and heater. Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. |
