Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeanette Estrada conducted an unannounced complaint inspection. LPA met with Licensee Cheyenne Banks for the purpose of delivering the findings for the above allegations. LPA observed 9 children and 2 staff.
LPA conducted interviews with staff and parents. Staff interviewed stated children were provided with A/C during the summer months and if they went outside it was during the morning when it was not as hot out. Staff also stated there is always 2-3 staff present with the children. No parents interviewed made any conflicting statements regarding supervision. Parents stated that children are always supervised by more than one staff at any time they arrive at the facility. Regarding the temperature, parents interviewed stated that during the summer months the facility maintained the a/c running for the children. Parents also stated that the facility would provide shade for the children and also would have activities such as water play to keep the children cool. One parent interviewed stated that now, they believe the temperature may be too cool for the children in care. Other parents interviewed did not corroborate this statement.
