25 | On 05/10/2024 at 12:10 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs)Katrina Chicote and Andrea Carter conducted an Announced – Prelicensing Inspection to the above facility. Upon arrival, LPAs announced purpose of inspection and met with Licensee, Diana Sanchez Sedano, who granted entry to facility and guided the LPAs on a tour of the facility both indoors and outdoors, including off limits areas. Adults in the home were discussed and all have criminal record clearance. The Licensee is requesting a large family child care home license max capacity of 14(landlord consent not needed). Fire clearance granted on 04/10/2024. Per Licensee, operation hours will be Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM caring for children 0-12+ years of age. LPAs observed required postings on board by Kitchen.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a single story home that consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, Daycare Space, and Kitchen. Per Licensee, the children will have access to Daycare Space (located upon entry of the home), Kitchen (located to the left of Daycare Space), Bedroom 1, which will be used as Play Room, (located down hallway to the right), and Bathroom 1 (located next to Bedroom 1). Per Licensee and Facility Sketch submitted, off limit areas of the home will be three bedrooms (Bedroom 2, 3, and 4) and Bathroom 2 (located inside bedroom). At 12:25 PM, LPAs observed these bedroom doors to have a lock and per Licensee these doors will be locked during operating hours.
All areas identified on the facility sketch as accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for the safety of the children. There is a working telephone maintained in the home. LPAs observed central air and heat throughout the home. At 12:15 PM, LPAs observed a fireplace in Daycare Space that not been made inaccessible with a lock on the operning at time of inspection. At 12:17 PM, LPAs observed Daycare Space to have child size tables and chairs available that are well maintained and a variety of age appropriate toys such as plastic cars, puzzles, baby dolls,
