25 | On December 20, 2024, at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elka Chavez and Joshua Ortega conducted an announced Pre-Licensing follow up inspection. The purpose of this visit was to inspect the corrections made from the prelicense inspection on November 14, 2024. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Applicant Representative, Chandra McCleary. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today.
The applicant made the following corrections:
· Applicant installed door sensor alarms to alert staff when the exit doors to the facility are opened.
· Applicant installed 4 small size toilets in the children's restroom
· Applicant placed a potty ring in the staff restroom/ill isolation bathroom
· Applicant provided a waiver for staggered outdoor play
· Applicant installed safety latches on the gates of the outdoor activity space
· Applicant installed sensor alarms on the gates of the outdoor activity area
· Applicant anchored the pink and yellow Kidtime play structure
· Applicant leveled the rubber tiles around the pink and yellow Kidtime climbing structure.
At 10:00 AM, LPAs observed sliding bolt locks on each of the gates to the fenced outdoor activity space. LPAs observed them to be 4 feet 11 inches from the ground. LPAs observed the gates also had door sensor alarms. The door sensor alarms were tested and are operable. The sensor alarms have a setting for chimes, alarm and off. LPAs advised Applicant Representative, Chandra McCleary to ensure that the sensors are turned on and functioning prior to taking children to the outdoor area. Applicant Representative, Chandra McCleary was also advised that best practice would be to close the parking lot gates while children are transitioning from inside to the outdoor activity space. LPAs reminded Applicant Representative,Chadra McCleary that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative, Chandra McCleary. |
