Centrally stored medications were observed secured in a locked cabinet located in the kitchen. The facility uses the Medication Administration Record (MAR) log to document medications given. Medication was reviewed and observed to be dispensed properly.
Carbon monoxide detector located in the hall, batteries needed to be replaced. Administrator replaced at time of visit, technical violation documented. Smoke detectors observed in the hallway and each client bedroom, were tested and are operable. Fire extinguishers located in the kitchen and the hallway, last serviced 01/03/2025. Emergency drills conducted regularly, last drill completed 08/11//25.
LPA inspected all client bedrooms and were observed to contain required bedroom furniture including, for each client, a bed, a chair, a night stand, and a lamp or lights necessary for reading. Linens were observed clean and in good repair. Bathrooms were observed to be clean, water temperature in bathrooms measured at 106.8 degrees, which is within the required 105 degrees F - 120 degrees F.
There are no pools or large bodies of water. There is a covered patio located in the backyard with sufficient seating for clients in care. Passageways and exits are free of obstructions.
Three (3) resident and three (3) staff files were reviewed and were observed to contain required documentation. Facility had current Emergency Disaster Plan and Infection Control Plan posted.
Attached garage has laundry area. Washing machine and dryer were operable at the time of visit.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, and California Health and Safety Code, there were no deficiencies observed during today’s visit.
Exit interview held and a copy of this report was provided to the Administrator Mary Anne Nacua.
