25 | 12/16/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Antonine Richard conducted a Case Management visit at this facility. LPA met with licensee Luther Waters who allowed entry into this facility. LPA informed Mr. Waters the purpose of the visit was to conduct a final walk-through and to retrieve the Department of Social Services Community Care License, to close the facility.
LPA conducted a tour of the entire facility. During the inspection, LPA observed that There are currently (0) clients in care. The facility is a one-story structure located in a residential neighborhood. It consists of the following: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, family room/dining room, kitchen, living room and indoor/outdoor activity area, laundry room and a garage. LPA did not observe any food supplies during the inspection. MANHATTAN PLACE is closing because the licensee moved the clients to a bigger facility and plans to develop a Group Home for children and a near future.
The Licensee has voluntarily surrendered the Department of Social Services Community Care License for Manhattan Place, Facility # 198602417, effective 12/16/24, and will no longer hold a license to operate from Community Care Licensing for this address at 10640 Manhattan Place Los Angeles CA 90047.
According to the California Code of Regulations (Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 1), LPA did not observe deficiencies; therefore, no citations were issued.
