25 | On 06/18/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez conducted a Case Management at facility. LPA met with Licensee, Patricia Logsden who did not accompanied LPA during tour of facility both inside and outside. LPA explained the reason for the inspection and provided licensee with a copy of LPA's business card.
LPA observed and inspected the following area's in the facility: preschool classrooms, restroom, and backyard play areas. LPA observed the following in the preschool classrooms: LPA observed a large carpet with the edges folded up in the corners that could potentially be a tripping hazard for children in care. LPA observed one light fixture that had dust collected in the interior. LPA observed that the ceiling was dusty along with the air vents. LPA observed that the classroom had various fans that were dusty. In the preschool restroom: LPA observed that one of the small toilets was not flushing correctly. In the backyard play area: LPA observed the following, the sand under the swing-set was compacted and hard to the touch, the sand under the metal climbing dome was compacted and hard to the touch. LPA observed various small holes in the sand near the southern eastern fence along with a loose black garden hose. On the southern-western fence LPA observed various wooden panels that were loose and exposed nails. LPA observed a loose green garden hose near the sandbox. LPA observed that wooden poles near the sandbox area had exposed cement foundation. LPA observed that there was exposed cement foundation in a white framed shade structure found in the backyard. LPA observed in various areas of the play yard that there were various sunken in areas in the sand, that were uneven to walk on. LPA discussed findings with Licensee.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, a deficiency is cited during today's visit.
