25 | On 11/20/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Mercedes Bolanos. LPA explained the reason for the visit. LPA Fierro confirmed the home has a working telephone service. All adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. There are no excluded individuals present at this home. Licensee stated she currently is not caring for children but typically her days and hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Licensee stated there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. There is pets in the home, Licensee understand the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets.
LPA conducted a census, during today’s inspection there were zero (0) children present in the home, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. A current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room 1, living room 2 and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of baby gates and door spinners.
During today’s inspection LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a single story home. The fireplace located in living room 2 is made inaccessible by a glass door. Licensee stated that fireplace will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed licensee test the smoke detector and carbon monoxide. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
During today’s inspection LPA observed areas, surfaces, carpets, and floors accessible to the children are in operable and sanitary condition. LPA observed the home to have age-appropriate toys, dramatic play
