On December 14, 2021, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Brannon and Ocegueda conducted a case management inspection. LPAs met with licensee, Raquel Giron. LPA Ocegueda provided Spanish interpretation services.

Per licensee, she is providing day care service in the back room and does not plan on moving the day care children into the front room. Licensee was reminded that if she wishes to use any other area in her home for care, she must first notify the Department so that an inspection could be completed before using the area. Licensee updated her facility sketch indicating that only the living room, dining room and one bathroom next to the living room would be used for care. An updated sketch was obtained today. Due to the rain, licensee was not providing day care services. LPA observed toys, books, child sized chairs in the back room.

Per licensee, she is providing care to five children, one is an infant. During today's inspection, LPA Ocegueda reviewed safe sleep regulations. LPA provided copies of LIC 9227 Individual Infant Sleeping Plan in English and Spanish, and an example of the 15 minute sleeping log. LPA provided a copy of the FCCH Title 22, section 102425: Infant Safe Sleep.

LPA reviewed COVID protocols set in place pursuant to the order of the State Public Health: Child care providers must comply with requirements in the Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings. The current CDPH Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings (July 28, 2021) requires all individuals in child care settings wear face coverings while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

Per California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12, no deficiency cited during today's inspection. Exit interview conducted with licensee, Raquel Giron. A copy of this report needs to be placed in facility file for public review. A Notice of Site Visit was posted on parent board for 30 days.
