25 | On 12/06/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Ka Vang conducted an unannounced Annual Required 3-year inspection and was met by licensee Raquel Giron. Licensee is Spanish Speaking and LPA Martha DeHaro assisted with interpretation. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, from 3:40 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 718-9764.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. LPA observed no daycare children were present as they are in school. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that living room, dining room and one bathroom next to the living room are used for care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by the use of a baby gate and doorknob spinners.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Licensee stated that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Fire drills are conducted and documented with the date, time and how many children present, every six months. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Per facility sketch, the backyard is off-limits. Licensee is to ensure that children does not have access to the off-limits backyard. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with emergency information as required. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 03/13/2023. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires on 06/2026. A review of records indicates that Licensee has current immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
