25 | On 3/5/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez conducted a Case Management inspection that was initiated by licensee. LPA met with Supervisor, Sarah Moreno. LPA conducted a tour of the facility inside and outside.
The purpose for the inspection was to inspect the newly added outdoor playground with a permanent shade structure/area with xylophone, swing set for both 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds, and rubber flooring.
The Department was notified on 02/25/2024 that playground was ready for an inspection.
On today's date LPA inspected the permanent shad structure and observed that the ground rubber flooring was even. LPA did not observe any tripping hazards or dangerous items. LPA observed that under the permanent shade structure there was a outdoor play xylophone and bench. LPA also inspected new swing set area. LPA observed two swings for 2-5 year olds and 2 swings for 5-12 year olds. LPA observed that the rubber flooring was even and that there was no tripping hazards or dangerous items. LPA observed that swing set did have stickers for ages 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds. LPA reminded Supervisor, Moreno to ensure that outdoor shade structure pole coverings are all zipped up in order to provide cushioning. Supervisor stated she understood.
LPA spoke to Supervisor, Moreno and informed her to ensure children of the appropriate ages are using the appropriate play structures/area. Supervisor understood. As of today the play structures can be used for children in care.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, no deficiency cited during today's visit.
