25 | On 04/25/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez conducted an unannounced inspection for Plan of Corrections (POC). LPA was met by licensee Maria Vargas. Also present was licensee’s assistant. Licensee is Spanish and English Speaking and LPA assisted with interpretation.
On 04/16/2024 LPA had placed the back-yard on off-limits due to the built-in pool fence which was loose on the bottom due to a missing screw and the foundation. On today's date LPA observed that the pool fence was firm to the touch and that the missing screw was replaced on the bottom of the fence. LPA observed that the trash can with a large planter was moved away from the fence. LPA also observed that the three tier storage shelf was removed away from the fence. The built-in pool is fenced and made inaccessible. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area.
LPA observed in the backyard a gas tank and a broken baby gate near the backyard shed. Licensee removed the gas tank and moved it to an area that is inaccessible to children in care. Licensee informed LPA that baby gate by shed will be replaced before children are present in the back yard. LPA observed a 2 in 1 baby gate in a box that Licensee will use to replace the broken one by the shed.
As of today, 04/25/2024 the backyard can be used for children in care.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. POC was cleared and a letter of deficiency citation was given to the licensee.
Licensee was provided appeal rights.
