25 | On 01/09/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and was met by licensee, Miriam Cortes. Also present was licensee’s Assistant #1. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm. Licensee stated she does provide overnight care from Monday through Friday from 8:00pm and 6:00am.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census of 2 was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, bathroom, day care room, living room, and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of doorknob spinners. LPA did not observe a swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises, and Licensee stated that here are no swimming pool or other bodies of water. Licensee stated that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. Detergents, cleaning compounds, and medication are made inaccessible. LPA observed two small dogs, one large dog, and cat in facility’s backyard. Licensee understand the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a glass door screen and will not be in use during daycare hours.
There is a working fire extinguisher 2A:10BC, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 240-1604
