25 | On 07/15/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeovanna Yanez, conducted an unannounced case management inspection and met with Licensee, Patricia Vasquez. The purpose of the inspection was to inspect a garage and backyard patio conversion, and make the off-limit converted areas accessible to children in care. LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors and a census was taken.
Licensee informed Community Care Licensing (CCL) on 01/05/2024 that she was converting her garage and backyard patio into the main Day Care areas for the children in care. Licensee submitted an updated facility sketch, an updated emergency disaster plan, and a copy of City of Madera Permit #20233693. Fire clearance was granted on July 11, 2024. LPA inspected the converted areas, which consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. The rooms have wood flooring, covered electrical outlets, and adequate heating and ventilation. LPA observed various toys and equipment that are age appropriate for children. There were no poisons observed and no cleaning solutions or other hazardous items were observed in any area. LPA observed a door that leads to the backyard where children can exit in the case of an emergency. Licensee stated the entrance to the daycare will now be in the right hand side of her home, through the gate that leads to the backyard. The main home is made inaccessible to daycare children by use of plastic door knob cover and/or door latch. LPA approved use of the new Day Care area for children in care.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee. A notice of site visit was given to licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
