25 | On September 8, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez & Licensing Program Manager Juvenal Moctezuma conducted an unannounced Case Management – Other Inspection. LPA met with licensee Inocencia Salas & daughter who were caring for 5 children. Licensees spouse was in the backyard doing yard work. LPA explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the home was conducted both inside and outside.
During today’s inspection LPA spoke about best practices with licensee in regards to different customs, traditions, cultures, and lifestyles. Licensee indicated that when dealing with children with difficult behaviors, she gets down to their level and speaks to them calmly. She has constant communication with the parents and will try to care for all children as long as she’s able to. Licensee indicated that she is respectful towards all children and parents and respects their different adversities. Licensee indicated that she has not had any issues with any parents or children in care.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee Inocencia Salas, During the exit interview, the licensee Inocencia Salas confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA verified the RSO profile in FAS.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Licensee Inocencia Salas was provided appeal rights.
This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
