13 | On September 14, 2022., Licensing program analyst (LPA) Van conducted a conclusionary inspection to deliver the findings to the above allegations in conjunction with the annual inspection. LPA met with the Site Director, Lisa Vaillancourt, and the purpose of the inspection was explained. Present at the Center are 9 children and 5 teachers.
During the investigation, LPA interviewed staff members, Director, and children and inspected classrooms. Reviewed facility files, facility internal investigation documents, and Marin County Sheriff's Department forensic interview. Based on the interview, the staff members stated that the Center always has teachers working in pairs, and there are always two teachers in a classroom. Staff members did not observe or witness inappropriate interaction between their co-teacher or teachers at the Center with children. The children's interview revealed they were happy at the Center, and no inappropriate discipline or interaction was found.
Based on the available information, there was insufficient evidence to prove that the staff inappropriately disciplined the child and caused injuries to the child in care. Although the allegations may have happened or may be valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegation is found to be "unsubstantiated."
The report was reviewed and signed by the Director, Lisa Vaillancourt. An exit interview was conducted, and rights to comment were discussed with the Director. Today's report, 9/14/2022, and notice of site visit were provided to the Director. LPA reminded the Director a site visit notification must be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
