25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maria Olguin-Leon an announced Case Management visit in conjunction with an Annual Random inspection and met with Janaina Cook. The Department received an application from the facility requesting a capacity increase on November 14,2022. Current facility is a licensed as a small daycare and requesting an increase to a large family daycare.
LPA and Licensee inspected home Health and Safety Hazards. No changes were made to the previously licensed childcare area. The licensee is adding bedroom #2 to on limits areas for napping purposes only. Bedroom is located in home. The rest of home will used for walk through purposes only to napping room. Fire clearance was granted on February 27th, 2023 by the Central Marin Fire Department.
All required postings are properly posted (License/Parent’s Rights poster/Emergency Disaster Plan and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist). Licensee understands that care cannot be provided for more than the capacity as stated on the license. LPA provided Licensee with capacity regulation flyer and capacity limits of a Large License have been reviewed with Licensee. Licensee is reminded that when operating at a Large capacity, there must be a Helper present.
Large Family Child Care License has been approved effective 03/02/23.
