LPA observed individual cubbies for children’s belongings. Emergency supplies were secured, and first aid materials were fully stocked. The center currently provides Incidental Medical Services. During the review of medication storage and records, LPA found one medication missing required parental consent and physician instructions. LPA directed the Director to ensure all medication records include complete authorization. Licensing regulations and the correct parental consent form were provided during the inspection.
Children’s restrooms and handwashing sinks were sanitary and in good working condition. No bodies of water were present. The Director stated that no firearms or weapons are on the premises.
During the inspection, the Director inquired about the shared bathroom waiver submitted during the prior inspection. LPA informed her that the Regional Manager is reviewing the waiver and will issue it once approved. LPA reminded the Director to post the waiver immediately upon receipt.
The outdoor play area was fully fenced, clean, and free of hazards. Play structures were in good condition, with wood chips placed beneath them to reduce injury risk. LPA reminded the Director that drinking water must be readily accessible outdoors.
The Director stated that the center provides snacks, while lunches are brought from home. All waste containers had tight-fitting lids. Required postings, including the facility license, Parent Rights, Personal Rights, Car Seat Law, and Emergency Disaster Plan, were observed.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s and staff records. Children’s files contained complete documentation, including immunizations, admission agreements, emergency contacts, and personal rights forms. Staff records showed current background clearances, CPR certification, mandated reporter training, and complete immunization records.
The Director reported that fire and earthquake drills are conducted at least every six months, with the most recent drill completed on September 1, 2026.
