25 | On 3/28/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanson Leong conducted an unannounced plan of correction visit (POC) to the Family Childcare Home (FCCH) listed above. The purpose of the visit was to follow up with a Type A violation involving detergents and chemicals being accessible to children, which occurred on 3/15/2024. During the visit, LPA met with the Licensee, Alcira Alvarez, and explained the purpose of the visit. During the visit, nine children (four infants and five preschool-aged) and two staff members were present. The licensee and the two staff members present at the FCCH have all received criminal record clearance from the department. The FCCH operates within its capacity and in accordance with the required ratio of staff to children.
Following a thorough walkaround of the FCCH, LPA confirmed that the previously observed items on 3/15/2024, including bleach, laundry detergent, glass cleaner, toilet cleaner, and a Lysol disinfectant spray, were not found inside the unlocked closet. Similarly, a Lysol disinfectant spray and mouthwash were not observed in the Full Bathroom, as was the case during the previous visit on 3/15/2024. This indicates that the corrective measures have been effective in addressing the Type A violation. LPA observed all detergents and chemicals were placed in one of the kitchen cabinets, where it was inaccessible to children.
The Type A deficiency that was cited on 3/15/2024, has been resolved during the visit.
A Cleared POC letter was given to the Licensee, Alcira Alvarez.
A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee, Alcira Alvarez
