25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Haydee Caliboso arrived at the facility at 9:20am to conduct an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee Kristen Lien. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present were Licensee, assistant teacher, 8 preschool-age children, and 2 infant children in care. Provider is operating within the capacity and is following staff child ratio. The Licensee lives with the husband and one minor child. All adults in the home have been fingerprinted cleared. The hours of operation are: M-F, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Licensee provides breakfast, snack, and lunch each day. The facility was inspected today, indoors and outdoors for health and safety hazards.
Daycare areas: living room, dining room area, kitchen, outdoor area, and hallway restroom. Off Limit areas: all bedrooms in the house and garage. LPA and Licensee inspected the entire day care area for health and safety hazards. LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care. LPA observed the fireplace has been barricaded and made inaccessible to children. LPA observed carbon monoxide and smoke detector in the home. A fire extinguisher of size 2A10BC or bigger was also available in the home. First Aid kit is fully stocked and accessible. Per Licensee, there is firearm or weapon in the home. Firearm is locked and made inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water. All cleaning supplies are locked and made inaccessible to children. The Licensee has a pet; chicken coop in the yard. Chicken coop is fenced up and made inaccessible to children.
