pools, spas, or other types of bodies of water of any kind. All cleaning and washing products, along with any other harmful materials, are kept out of children's reach. The center has smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, centralized smoke alarms, and operational phones. LPA and director tested all Carbon monoxide detectors and found them all to be functioning properly. According to the director, no firearms or other weapons are kept in the center. The LPA observed that the center provides clean and safe individual cubbies for each child.
The LPA observed a designated area for children to sleep or rest quietly. The area includes cots and blankets for each child. The LPA observed one diaper changing station, which is clean and safe for the children to use
The LPA observed that all required documents, such as the facility license, waivers, notification of parental rights, notification of personal rights, car seat law, emergency disaster plan, and daily activities, were displayed in the center. The center’s most recent emergency disaster drill was conducted on 1/27/26 and was properly recorded, as confirmed by the LPA's review of the log.
The LPA reviewed the records of both the children and staff members. The LPA reviewed the files of the five children and confirmed that their Immunization Record, Admission Agreement, Personal Rights Identification and Emergency Information, Physician's Report, Notification of Parents' Rights, and Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment were included in their records. The LPA reviewed the records of the all staff members and confirmed at least 1 staff members was certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Mandated Reporter. The LPA confirmed that all three staff members completed their twelve units for Early Childhood Education, qualifying them as teachers.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
