25 | On 8/3/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Hanson Leong, conducted a scheduled, case management visit with the Licensee, Maya Lonchar/. The licensee requested an increase in capacity from eight to fourteen. LPA was granted entry by the Licensee. LPA explained to the Licensee about the purpose of the visit. All the facility's staff members have had their criminal background checks cleared by Guardian. During the case management visit, LPA observed the licensee and her assistant supervising three infants and three preschool children.
Both LPA and the Licensee conducted a health and safety inspection of the home. The house is clean and safe, with a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector and a fully charged fire extinguisher. The Licensee is equipped with a fully stocked First Aid Kit as well as a thermometer. A safety gate surrounds the fireplace in the house. There are no bodies of water in the residence. The Licensee has garbage cans with tightly fitting covered lids. At the home, the children in care have access to age-appropriate toys and equipment. The Licensee was reminded by the LPA that baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items should not be used on children in care.
The Licensee was reminded by the LPA that if she cares for the thirteenth and fourteenth children, who must be school-age, parent notification and landlord consent are required. The following is required to be posted in an accessible location in view of parents: Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610), Parent's Rights (LIC 995A), and License (once received).
On 8/2/2022, the fire department approved the licensees Large Home Day Care fire clearance.
Following the case management visit, LPA will recommend a Large Family Day Care Home license for the Licensee.. The Licensee's new license with a capacity of fourteen will go into effect on 8/3/2022.
