25 | On 6/14/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanson Leong, made an announced case management visit to the Family Child Care Home listed above. The two licensees requested a departmental visit because they would like to use their office room for their day-care. The LPA was granted entry by the Licensee, Wendy Arthurs. The LPA explained the purpose of the visit to the two licensees. All the individuals listed on the facility’s roster have been granted permission to work or be present in a childcare facility. The LPA observed the two licensees supervising three infants and one preschool aged child. Children's capacity and ratio requirements were observed to be in compliance.
The LPA and the two licensees carried out a thorough inspection of the office room to look for any potential health and safety concerns. The office room will be set aside for napping and playing. The office room is well kept and clean. Every piece of furniture, toy, and piece of equipment has been inspected to ensure that it is age suitable and in good condition. There were playpens available for children to nap in. There is also a smoke detector in the office room.
The LPA will provide approval for the office room to become a component of the licensed day care facility. The office room will take effect on 6/14/2023.
A copy of today’s report and the “Notice of Site Visit,” were given to Wendy Arthurs. A “Notice of Site Visit” must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Wendy Arthurs |
