25 | On February 27, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Garcia arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with the Licensee, Livia Sebba. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present were 8 children, including her 2 year old son and 2 helpers in the day care. LPA observed that there were 4 infants and 4 preschool age children. LPA verified the background check clearance of the adults working or living in the home. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Licensee provides, breakfast, lunch and snacks in the morning, afternoon and evening for children and filtered water is provided for refill, if needed. LPA observed a dog in the facility.
Day-care areas are: Bedroom #1, Foyer, Play room, Bathroom #1, and Front porch, all located upper level.
Off limit areas are: Kitchen, Bedroom #2, #3 and #4, Dining Room and bathroom #2, #3, yard all located lower level and upper level deck. All off limit areas, including all closets, are properly barricaded.
LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care. LPA and Licensee inspected the entire childcare area for Health and Safety hazards. There are multiple carbon monoxide and smoke detectors located in each room. LPA did not perform the functionality of the detectors due to children napping. Fully charged fire extinguisher of size 3A40BC was also available in the home, located by day care rooms. First Aid kit is fully stocked and accessible, located in the day care areas. Licensee states there are no pools or weapons/guns.
LPA observed that the house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation and lighting. The play area is clean, padded/carpeted and in good condition. LPA observed that there are variety of age-appropriate toys, books, and other learning materials available in the home. Electric outlets have proper covers and a working phone is on site. The Licensee LIC 282 available LPA observed that the front outdoor play area has playhouses, benches and toys are in good repair on artificial grass.
