Building includes a pull down fire alarm system, fully charged fire extinguisher, and fully stocked first aid kit. Per applicant, smoke detectors throughout building are dual smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPA was unable to test detectors during visit. LPA observed detectors in building's high ceilings. Medications with required documentation will be stored in facility's kitchen with required documentation.
All toxins and hazardous items will be stored in facility kitchen, inaccessible to children. Isolation for a sick child will be in the library, separate from other enrolled children. Facility includes one bathroom that includes 1 sink and a 2 stalled toilets. Applicant plans to install doors on stalled bathrooms. Second bathroom includes 1 sink and 1 toilet that allows for individual privacy. There is an additional sink and water fountain in the art classroom that will be utilized for art projects only, not drinking purposes.
