Interview conducted with Resident Care Director stated that they have not heard of any complaints about Winston, and have not observed Winston to snap at residents, family members, or facility visitors.
Resident interviews were conducted. 4 of 4 resident interviews stated that Winston was a wonderful dog and they did not see Winston snap, growl, or be aggressive towards themselves or others at the facility. These interviews revealed that Winston was primarily seen in the Executive Director's office. These interviews also stated that sometimes Winston would be in the facility lobby to greet residents, but he was always with the Executive Director.
During visit conducted on 08/27/2026, LPA observed two residents greet the Executive Director in their office and ask if they could pet Winston and give him treats. During these resident interactions, LPA observed that Winston did not bark, growl, lunge, or act in an aggressive way towards the residents. During the length of the visit, Winston stayed in the corner of the Director's office, or would sit by the Executive Director. It was also observed that Winston had their leash attached to them at all times and was not "off-leash".
Based on interviews conducted and observations made, this allegation is Unfounded. A finding of Unfounded means that the allegation is false, could not have happened, and/or is without a reasonable basis.
Exit interview conducted. Copy of report discussed and provided to Executive Director. Signature on form confirms receipt of documents.
