32 | Children bring water bottles from home and staff use filtered water pitchers to refill them during indoor and outdoor activities. LPAs also observed a water fountain in the preschool classroom. The infant outdoor activity area measured to an approximate 1,141 square feet which will accommodate 12 infant children.
The infant outdoor play area is surrounded by a chain link fence that is four feet high. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and equipment. No high climbing play equipment was observed in the infant outdoor activity area. Shade in the infant outdoor space is provided by a shade canopy. Mature trees provide additional shade. LPAs reminded Director to always provide adequate supervision at all times.
A fire clearance request for the above classrooms for 12 infant children and 14 preschool children was approved by the Yosemite National Park Fire Department on 10/3/24.
Pending a final file review a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for a capacity of 14 preschool children in the preschool classroom and 12 infant children in Infant Classrooms 1 and 2.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Heather Webster.
A notice of site visit was given to Director and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. A copy of this report is to remain in the facility for public review. |
