On 7/18/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Priscilla Zamudio arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with facility representative, Jagdish Atwal. LPA toured the facility and a census was taken. The purpose of today's inspection was regarding an unusual incident that was reported to the Fresno Childcare Regional Office on 7/8/24. On 7/8/24, Child #1 was running and looking back at the same time to see if other children were chasing but hit head on right side of forehead on the water fountain.

During today’s inspection, LPA interviewed staff and observed area where incident occurred. Staff reported being near the child but could not stop them from running. Staff immediately provided first aid, provided an ice pack and contacted parents. Due to this incident, cushion material was added to the water fountains which are not in use and are also in the process of being removed. Teachers have discussed with children safety expectations as well as designated areas for running. There have been no further issues.

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with LPA met with facility representative, Jagdish Atwal.

This report shall be made available to the public upon request. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
