25 | On 11/29/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stefanie Galvan, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection. LPA met with Lead Teacher, Christy Quiralte, who accompanied LPA on a tour of the facility, indoors and outdoors. This is an AM/PM half day program which operates on a traditional school year schedule. The morning session is 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the afternoon session is 11:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., Monday through Friday. This facility is on the Margaret Sheehy Elementary school campus.
All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in attendance. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication, and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.
Food is prepared at the school cafeteria and delivered daily. All kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them.
Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA observed an outdoor drinking fountain that is leaking, causing a water puddle. LPA was informed that a work order already exists. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have cushioning material in the form of rubber pellets to absorb falls.
