25 | On 09/03/2021, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Juvenal Moctezuma & Cynthia Brannon conducted a case management inspection and met with Education Coordinator, Isabel Abundez. During the prelicensing inspection for their new infant license, it was revealed that the classroom that the center is wanting to license is currently under this preschool license. LPA had to remeasure the preschool areas both indoors and outdoors to see if the capacity was affected. Based on the measurements done today, it was revealed that the preschool capacity will need to drop from 60 to 48 children since they have lost one preschool classroom. LPA notified Isabel that they needed to submit an application to decrease the preschool capacity and they can no longer care for more than 48 preschool children.
During the walk through LPAs observed the metal railing to have rust. Isabel stated that staff have submitted multiple work orders to get the railing fixed but has not gotten fixed. LPAs also advised Isabel that they need to make the piping and electrical on the outside of their playground inacessible to children and to get a tarp for their sand box. Isabel stated that they will take care of all these items as soon as possible and will submit an application packet to decrease the preschool capacity. During todays inspection the following type B deficiency was cited. Appeal rights were provided
