Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Brannon and Vega-Gonzalez met with site supervisor, Karen Large. Previous pre-licensing inspection was conducted on 2/11/22. This is a follow up to ensure licensee completed all of the items listed to be corrected. The following item needs to be corrected:
1) Permanent shade structure needs to be installed.
During today's inspection, LPA toured and measured the outside play yard. During the previous inspection on 2/11/22, licensee wanted to include a covered cement area for the children to play. However, fire marshal clearance dated 5/18/22 will not allow children to play. Therefore, a permanent shade structure that meets Title 22 requirements, is to be installed.
Per Karen Large, children are bringing their own water bottles. Licensee is providing water dispensers. Each classroom will have a pitcher of water for the children to refill their water bottle. Per Ms. Large, licensee, Valley Christian Center of Los Banos, will only use the preschool facility on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday when preschool children are no longer at the facility, at 7:00 PM.
The approximate outside play yard measures 2954 sqft. This will accommodate the requested capacity of 18 school age children. Licensee has requested an outside waiver to share the preschool outside play yard with the school age children.
Licensee will schedule an inspection for Licensing to return to ensure the outside play yard has permanent shade structure.
A COPY OF THIS REPORT IS TO REMAIN IN THE FACILITY FOR PUBLIC REVIEW.
THIS REPORT SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC UPON REQUEST.
