25 | Prior to today's inspection, LPA telephoned call applicant and conducted the COVID-19 Emergency Response Tele-Inspection Screening Process. On October 14, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Ericka Estrada for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her significant other, her adult brother and six minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a two story; five bedrooms and five bathrooms home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. There is a bedroom downstairs with a bathroom made inaccessible by the use of a key lock and lever lock. Care and supervision will be provided in the living room (day care room), family room, dining room/kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of key locks and lever locks.
- There is a fireplace in the family room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, children cubbies, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a parents board in the day care room. There is a high chair in the dining room. Children will nap in day care room on mats. Applicant states that she will not be providing care for infants. Applicant states that she will be caring for children 3 years and older. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
