25 | On 06/07/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jeovanna Yanez met with Applicants, Fernando Marquez and Daisy Miranda for a change of location/pre-licensing inspection. Both applicants, Applicant Fernando's wife, and two minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on May 2, 2023.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
· Fire clearance was received on May 8, 2023. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
· This is a single story three bedroom, two bathroom home with a detached shop, and children will have access to the living room, family room, kitchen, dining room, enclosed patio and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of key lock and/or door latch.
· There is a fireplace located between the living room and family room that applicant states will not be used during day-care hours.
· In the living room, LPA observed comfortable furnishings. In the family room, LPA observed comfortable furnishings and a flat screen television mounted on the wall. In the enclosed patio, LPA observed wooden cubbies for storage, one play yard, children size furniture, and safe games, toys, and books for the children. Children will nap on mats, infants will nap on play yard in the living room. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
· Facility has 340ABC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
