32 | · Preventative Health and Safety Course with Prevention of Lead exposure certification was completed on July 20, 2023 for both applicants.
· Both applicant's, Eloisa and Federico Alvarez, completed the Mandated Reporter Training on July 5, 2023.
· SB 792 immunizations verified and on file.
· Applicant provided proof of control of property.
· In the living room, LPA observed comfortable furnishings, a flat screen television mounted on the wall, children size furniture, and safe games, toys, and books for the children. Children will nap on cots, infants will nap in play yards in the living room. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times.
· LPA inspected the fenced backyard which will be off limits to the day care children. Prior to use, Applicant will contact Licensing to come clear yard for day-care use.
· Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
· Knives are stored in a bottom kitchen drawer made inaccessible via safety latch. Medications are stored in top kitchen and laundry room cabinets made inaccessible via safety latch. Cleaning compounds are stored in the off-limits garage.
· There is an in-ground pool that is fenced with 5 foot black mesh fencing in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. The gate is self-latching/self-closing, swings away from the pool and latching device is located no more than six inches from the top of the gate.
· There are five dogs that are kept in the off-limits master bedroom. Applicant is advised it is her responsibility to ensure the safety of children in care at all times from the pets.
· Applicant states there are no firearms or ammunition in the home or premises.
· Advised applicant fire drills are to be conducted once every 6 months and must be documented with date and time. A fire drill log was provided as an example.
· Applicant is advised at least one staff member with current training in pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR is to be on site at all times children are present.
