25 | On 03/26/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced annual inspection and was met by Licensee, Gabriela Chavez Mercado. LPA explained the reason for the visit. Adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption, there are no excluded individuals present at this home. Licensee confirmed the home has a working telephone service. LPA Fierro confirmed days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday 7:30AM-11:00PM. Licensee stated there are no firearms, ammunition, pets or bodies of water on the premises of the home.
LPA Fierro conducted a census during today’s inspection there were four (4) children in care, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. LPA Fierro reviewed a current facility sketch, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, dining room, day care room, bathroom, and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by using door spinners.
LPA Fierro toured the home inside and outside. This is a single-story home; there is an electric fireplace in this home, the fireplace is made inaccessible glass door. Licensee stated that fireplace will not be in use during daycare hours. There are a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
Licensee stated that all poisons are kept in the garage. LPA did not observe any poisons during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. During today’s inspection LPA observed the home to be in sanitary conditions, areas accessible to children in care are clean and orderly. LPA observed age-appropriate toys, dramatic play equipment, and learning materials. CON'T 809-C
