25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marybeth Donovan conduced an unannounced visit to conduct a Case Management - Health Checks visit and met with Tracey Lundy Business Manager. LPA explained the purpose of the visit.
LPA toured the facility inside and out. Facility interior room temperature was 75 degrees Fahrenheit (F). Water temperature in AL apartment 230 measured at 109.4 degrees F. Bathrooms contained supply of hygiene items, soap and paper towels.
In the kitchen LPA observed a minimum of 2 day perishable food supply and 7 day nonperishable food supply. LPA observed fresh fruit of watermelons, bananas, pineapple, strawberries and cantaloupe. Lunch prep was in process. Staff preparing chicken tacos and beef enchiladas. Desert prepared for lunch is Tres Leche cake. Fresh fruit to be served as one of the side dishes.
At 10: 00am in AL LPA observed Administrator, 2 Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) and 3 housekeepers present. Also, LPA observed Executive Director, 3 administrative staff, 1 receptionist, 1 LVN (screen visitors), Chef Manager, 5 kitchen staff, 2- maintenance staff, 1 van driver, 1 laundry room attendant. Laundry room was in operation. Based on review of staff schedule and observations, staffing was sufficient.
Resident services being provided include direct care needs, food service, housekeeping, medication management and activities. LPA obtained Menu for week of 7/11-17, 2021 and July Activities Calendar. Todays activities include shopping trip, Low Impact Aerobics, Brotherly Love Musical Duo and Pool Player Club Activity. Professional photographer present today photographing the facility.
No deficiencies cited during this visit per the California Code of Regulations Title 22.
