32 | LPA observed furniture and equipment were in good condition and safe for the children. The playground areas utilized by children is surrounded by appropriate fencing. LPA observed sufficient resilient material under slides and other similar equipment surrounded with cushioned material that absorbs falls. LPA observed that the outdoor equipment is age appropriate. LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Children are provided cots for napping and bedding is provided by parents and sent home weekly or as needed for washing. LPA observed changing area and pads sanitary. Director states facility does not provided transportation services. LPA observed children have storage cubbies to place there belongings.
The facility only provides snacks (AM & PM), and beverages to day care children. Meals are provided by parent(s). Food storage such cabinets for snacks are clean, free of litter & rubbish, and free of rodents and other vermin. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguishers located in facility and working fire alarm system, carbon monoxide detectors, and first aid kits. Last fire/disaster drill was completed on 4/11/2025. Director states that the facility does not administer medications at this time.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Sarah Morisoli. No deficiencies were issued during today's inspection.
