LPAS toured the facility, indoor off-limit areas included two bedrooms and one bathroom. The home was clean, well ventilated, and stocked with safe, age-appropriate toys. A fully charged 3A-40B-C fire extinguisher (last serviced 2/12/25) was present, along with working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and an operating telephone. Hazardous items, including poisonous detergents, cleaning compounds, and medicines were stored out of children’s reach. License will barricade all floor heating vents in the on limits areas. Licensee will move the wine glasses on higher shelf. Smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed.
The licensee confirmed that two firearms are stored in a locked container with firing mechanisms removed. Ammunition is locked separately.
Outdoor off limit areas include garage. Outdoor play area is fenced and is filled with age-appropriate toys for playhouse,cars, trucks and alot of balls. LPAs noticed a water table filled with water, no children present, licensee emptied water immediately. Licensee will cover wood for burning with netting to secure for safety. The licensee was reminded to notify licensing before making any changes to the house or yard.
Licensee CPR/First Aid expires 10/13/25 with mandatory training expiring 9/12/25. The preventive health certification is on file. LPAS reminded the licensee of the two-year renewal requirement.
The facility roster and five children’s file were reviewed, confirming all required forms were complete, including the LIC 282 affidavit. The licensee provide insurance expires 10/29/25
The licensee transports children confirming she has a valid driver’s license. LPAS reminded the licensee that children cannot be left unattended in vehicles and that car seats and booster seats must be available for safe transportation
