OUTDOOR MEASUREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Outdoor Yard: 13.000 x 81.000 = 1053
136.750 x 181.917 = 24877.150
Total: 25930.150
25930.150 - no encumbered space= 25930.150/ 75 SQ FEET = 345 children
The preschool program will utilize the outdoor space located behind classrooms K1 and K2. LPA observed that the outdoor area is fenced in and has a large grass area, tanbark area, and blacktop area. Nittaya states that a new playground for children ages 2-5 will be installed and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The construction will be completed on the weekend or during winter break. Additional equipment will be added to provide shade to children, such as umbrellas, as currently shade is provided by building overhang and trees. LPA advised that the grass area needs to be worked on as there are currently holes in the ground from squirrels, which poses a tripping hazard to children. There are bikes, balls, and water tables available for the children to play with. LPA did not observe any bodies of water during today's inspection.
Fingerprint clearances are completed by Monterey Peninsula Unified School District and the facility will operate under Title 5 requirements.
LPA reviewed with Facility Representatives the LIC 311A, Records to be Maintained at the Facility for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. |
