25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Jimenez-Villanueva , met with licensee Lina Martinez for a case management visit to increase capacity and explained the reason for the visit. Present at home was the licensee with two toddlers taking a nap. Licensee stated that there are four (3) adults residing in the home: herself, her husband and her son. Children living at home: two (ages 11 and 16 years) .
Fire clearance was granted on January 28, 2025, by Salinas Fire Department with special conditions as follows: Maintain fire sprinkler system, all special licenses/permits, fire/smoke extinguisher and, exit/egress to the public ways, conduct and maintain record of fire drill. Approved with the condition that a water heater permit must be obtained and pass for the replaced water heater. Licensee compliance and obtained permit inspections and finalized the permit on February 10, 2025 (on file). LPA reviewed the requirements stated on the fire clearance with licensee Lina Martinez including that the garage, left and right side yards, one master bedroom, master bath, bedrooms (2 and 3), kitchen and stairs are NOT approved for use.
LPA conducted tour of inside and outside of the home. LPA observed the water heater in compliance with specific requirements. combo fire and monoxide detector is functioning and FCCH is equipped with 2A10BC fire extinguisher was serviced on 02/04/25. Fire pull station is installed in the entry way near front door. LPA observed a fire drill was conducted on February 4, 2025.
Licensee has current CPR and first aid that expires on 01/2027. Mandated Reporter training is current and was taken on 01/07/25. LPA observed covered fireplace, barricaded stairs, and no bodies of water. Licensee stated there are no weapons and no pets in the home. LPA reviewed with licensee their ratio/capacity for a large FCCH as well as assistant requirement.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Lina Martinez in Spanish. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100; and advised her that a large Family Child Care Home license will be approved upon completion of the following:
