13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) L. Cabrera conducted the complaint investigation visit to the facility.
During the course of this investigation LPA reviewed facility file relevant to the complaint investigation. It was determined that the above allegation: A resident was asked to pay for an internet Wi-Fi while other residents are getting it for free is UNFOUNDED.
Per interviews and records, the facility provides internet service available to all residents in the common area such as the dining room, main lobby, library and computer/card room. The router signals strength will vary during peak times and the facility’s resident capacity, which some residents will have Wi-Fi coverage in their room. Some residents will independently purchase internet service in order to have Wi-Fi in their private room. Per R1’s Admission Agreement, facility will provide water, electricity, heat, air conditioning, and basic cable television at its expense. Residents will be responsible for telephone installation and service and cable television fees beyond basic service. |
