25 | At 9:50am on 8/10/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Gallo met with applicant Allyson Finau for the purpose of a change of location prelicensing inspection. Applicant has requested a Large Family Childcare Home License to serve up to 14 children and was previously licensed at facility # 293624406. Fire clearance was received on 8/6/2026.
The facility is a two story home . The first floor consists of a play room, living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, under-stairs bathroom, and master bedroom/bathroom. The second story consists of three children's bedrooms, a bathroom, and storage. The home is situated on approximately 4 acres of land that includes a detached garage and two outdoor sheds. The off limit areas will include: master bedroom/bathroom, living room, laundry room, all upstairs, all backyard, and all outbuildings, including garage. Applicant acknowledged that children must never enter these areas, and that licensing must inspect any off-limit area prior to moving it to on-limits. The outdoor play yard is fully fenced, and the applicant acknowledges that 100% supervision is required in all unfenced areas.
Applicant intends to operate 6:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday, year round. Applicant acknowledges that their own family members under 10 years old count toward the ratio and capacity of day care children.
All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
