25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Alejandre made an unannounced visit to conduct the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Assistant Administrator Tiffany Canlas and explained the reason for the visit. LPA and the Assistant Administrator toured the facility. LPA observed that during the visit the air conditioners were operating. The Administrator's certificate expires December 23, 2024. LPA observed both bathrooms are clean and operational. Hot water measured 105.2 to 112.6 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed a 2 day perishable and a 7 day non-perishable food supply on hand in the kitchen. LPA observed the knives and cleaning supplies are kept locked outside in cabinet and inaccessible to clients. LPA observed the fire extinguisher in the kitchen is fully charged. LPA observed the kitchen is clean and organized. The 4 burner gas stove lights unassisted. LPA toured the client rooms. Both client rooms had the required furnishings. The living room has a couch and chairs for clients to sit inside. There is a TV in the living room for clients to watch. LPA and staff toured the backyard. There is a covered patio with seating for clients to sit outside. No bodies of water observed in the backyard. The exit gate is operational. There is a shed with 2 rooms in the backyard. The shed is kept locked. The shed is used for storing tools, furniture and supplies. No obstacles or hazards observed in the backyard. LPA and staff toured the garage. LPA observed the garage is used for storage and kept locked. The garage stores extra supplies and food and water. LPA reviewed 4 client files and medications. No discrepancies observed. LPA reviewed 2 staff files, no discrepancies observed. LPA and staff reviewed the client's P & I monies. LPA observed while the staff counted the client's P & 1 monies. The facility only handles P & I money for 2 clients. All monies on hand matched the facility ledger. Smoke detectors/carbon monoxide detectors tested operational. LPA inspected the first aid kit. The first aid kit has all the required elements. The last fire drill was completed on August 3, 2024. No deficiencies observed during the visit. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report provided. |
