A case management inspection was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stacy Torrence. The facility has requested to move the school-aged classrooms from room #1 and #2 to room #2 and #3. The facility has not requested a change in capacity. The facility is currently licensed for 28 school-aged children. LPA met with Lynn Porter, Director, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Census was taken. There was a total of 14 school-aged children present, with two staff supervising. Operations hours are Monday-Friday; 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and 1 Friday per month; 6:30 a.m.-10:00 p.m.; serving children ages 4.9 to12 years old. Classrooms: #2 and #3.

A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who required caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.

All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. If children become ill during the day, they will rest in the isolation area located, director’s office. Medication is stored in the kitchen, in a lock box and in the Assistant Director’s office in a locked cabinet. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Sign in / sign out record meets regulation requirements.



The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and AM and PM snack. Food prep areas appear clean and sanitary. Food is properly stored.

Inside Activity Space measurements are as follows:
Total indoor activity area:
Classroom #2: 33.30 x 24.90 = 829 sqft divided by 35= 23 children
Classroom #3: 33.30 x 25.00 = 832 sqft divided by 35= 24 children
Total= 1,658 sqft. divided by 35 = 47 children

Total outdoor activity area:
5,099 sqft. divided by 75 = 67 children

Playground is completely enclosed. Outdoor activity area is supplied with age and size appropriate equipment. An adequate amount of cushioning material is in place under the equipment. Shade is provided by a canopy. Drinking water is provided indoors and outdoors.

Fire clearance approval letter on file and dated 04/23/2021. .Based on today's inspection, facility has enough space for the 28 schooled-aged children.

Center Director Lynn Porter required CPR/1st Aid training expires on 02/2023.

Facility provides Incidental Medical services.

In the areas evaluated, no deficiency was observed and cited today per CA Code of Regulations, Title 22, and Division 12.

Facility meets all licensing requirements and file will be submitted for approval.

Exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and provided to the director. The Notice of Site Visit was posted. The director was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100.
